My goal: to raise healthy puppies with the foundation to become a great service dog, a hunter, or just a great family dog that is attentive and eager to please!
I am a geriatric nurse practitioner; I have six children and three grandchildren. Our family has been raising labs for over twenty-five years and we sincerely believe they are the best family dogs! I've seen the amazing work Labrador retrievers do, from service work to raising my children. I spent years researching interventions and whelping philosophies that result in smart, attentive, eager-to-please puppies. Furthermore, I am committed to responsible breeding to ensure minimal-to-no genetic health issues.

My husband and children are heavily involved in the whelping process. They are just as invested as I am into the care of the puppies we raise.
Our Whelping Process
We handle our puppies from the time they are born, starting Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) on day three of life. This improves their stress response, strengthens the heart and immune system, and develops a quick response time.

Sensory training includes an introduction to a different scent every day---cats, chickens, coffee, babies, spices, grass, pine, and scented oils for example. This is important not just for hunters, but for those who go on to detect seizure activity.

Puppy culture is utilized along with a variety of experiences and loud noises---banging pans, thunder, gun shots, etc. Puppy culture focuses on ENS, socialization, positive reinforcement, and creates a strong foundation for a young puppy's future training.

Our puppies are raised as part of our family, in our home, exposed to children, grandbabies, dogs, and cats. They are clicker trained before going home to commands like "sit", "down", and "come". Additionally, they are crate trained, know eye contact, and are beginning potty training.
