As we eagerly await the coming of Elio's second litter, we will be recapping the previous four litters. If you're new, welcome! Hopefully these recaps will give you an idea of what kind of pups we have here at Birchmeier Star Labs. If you already have your own pup, let's reminisce in the memories!
Three years ago, we began the journey of dog breeding! We bred Ginger with a chocolate lab, Artemis, and in April 2022, Ginger had 11 puppies of all four colors!
Four females, seven males. Two chocolate puppies, two red puppies, two yellow puppies, and five black puppies.
Scout
Bodhi
Whiskey
Elio
Dozer
Faidh
Archer
Auggie
Cash
Millie
Bella
Both parents have excellent hips, good elbows, clear DNA, non dilute. Both parents are calm and attentive. Ginger comes from a service line as her dad detects seizures.
Puppies have been raised with ESI/ENI training and puppy culture philosophy. This means their senses were stimulated starting at day 3 when they are still blind and deaf. Neurological training helps increase their heart rate and stimulate adrenals. The science is quite remarkable!
At 3 weeks, they start looking like labrador puppies! Oh my, they are amazing!!! They are curious, starting to show their personality. There is a bit of a difference as green collar (Scout) and purple collar (Bella) grow a little faster---and Faidh is not far behind! They are definitely learning their voices. Millie is still the smallest and the most curious. She is always sniffy around and not afraid of straying from the pack.
Puppies sleep and grow a lot! I have a dog bed behind my chairs. Most of my dogs prefer the sectional or chairs. Cash managed to find the bed first and the others weren't far behind. I've also included random pictures of them. Some have taken to sleeping on their back. Their dad and big sister sleep like this!
At 6 weeks, Millie, Bodhi, Elio, and red collar (Dozer) all traveled to the elementary school today. They were very popular among the kids, staff, and parents. And I continue to be amazed and impressed with their calmness in new situations.
They are well socialized with kids, cats, smells, and lots of love. They are starting to potty train and will be introduced to a crate. They are too young for treats, but I will start basic commands with them when age appropriate. Training continues and I am happy to share with new families.
At 8 weeks, Scout, Millie, Faidh, and Auggie were the first to go to their fur-ever homes. Cash and Archer were next to go. Dozer followed, and then Bodhi. Bella, Whiskey, and Elio were the last ones to go home.
