Welcome to the third post in our Memory Lane mini-series! We are recapping our previous four litters as we wait for the arrival of Elio's second litter in December 2025.
Elio's first litter arrived just four days after Elio and her pack siblings turned three years old in late April 2025. Elio had TWELVE puppies throughout the night. We bred Elio with a yellow stud, Granger, so she had red and yellow puppies. Five males, seven females. Two white puppies, ten red puppies.
Pudge
Unnamed
Nash
Poppy (green collar)
River
Bo
Maisy (yellow collar)
Tootsie
Lady
Ozzy (blue collar)
Jewel
Finn
Unfortunately, the second puppy in Elio's litter passed away two days later, leaving a total of eleven puppies.
In the first week, we started ENS training and exposed pups to smells of ginger, lemon, pine, and cinnamon. Their dew claws were removed.
Two weeks old and their eyes are starting to open! Additionally during this week, Ginger's third and final pack were born (see the blog post about Ginger's C pack!), adding an additional eleven puppies to our care. These puppies are walking and wrestling, and they are starting to hear! They smell my lotion and come wobblin' to the door. They will start puppy food soon.
Three weeks old: these pups were champs! They're absolutely amazing! This typically quiet pack was a bit unsure in a big room with hard floors, but they recovered quickly and took a nap like they just finished Thanksgiving dinner!
Four weeks old and the puppies had a big day experiencing their feet getting wet for the first time. This makes them the first group of pups to not mind the feeling! We participated in the local Memorial Day parade and these puppies did fantastic!
The five week old puppies are very playful and sneaky! They like to sneak into the little pups' pen to sneak a snack! Don't be fooled---the older pups had already nursed and eaten a breakfast. Elio is a great mom---I can't convince her to take a break.
Seven week old puppies did great at the Gilmore Car Museum, and with the visitors who came for puppy yoga (more puppy snuggles, less yoga). Crate training started off rocky for poor Ozzy, but is now going well for all of them.
Bo was the first puppy to go to his new home. Lady and Maisy were next, followed by Nash, Pudge, Ozzy, and River. Finn and Tootsie went home not too long after, and Poppy was our last puppy to go to her forever home. Jewel is staying with us; she is Corin's.
